Pró-Terra was responsible for the assembly and implementation of the largest grain processing complex in Latin America: Camil Alimentos’ Cambaí Unit, located in Itaqui, RS.
The project was born from Camil Alimentos’ need to dramatically expand its production capacity to meet growing demand from the Brazilian and export markets. Pró-Terra was chosen as the strategic partner to lead the full conception and execution of the industrial assembly.
The challenge was monumental: implementing a plant capable of processing 1 million rice bales per month, a volume that at the time was unprecedented on the continent. This required not only technical expertise but also the ability to coordinate teams, suppliers, and deadlines in one of the most complex operations ever conducted in the sector.
Building, from scratch, a continental-scale industrial grain processing complex, with equipment from multiple suppliers, complex metal infrastructure, and integrated automation systems, all on schedule and with zero interruption to Camil’s existing operation.
Pró-Terra delivered a complete set of solutions, covering every stage of the industrial process:
The result was the delivery of an operationally flawless plant that became a Mercosur reference and positioned Camil Alimentos as the absolute leader in rice processing on the continent. For Pró-Terra, it confirmed what the company has built for 42 years: unmatched technical competence and commitment to each project as if it were the only one.
